There is some mystery that surrounds prayer and fasting. We see it practiced throughout the Bible, Jesus talked about some strongholds that would only be demolished through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29), yet we know that to fast and pray doesn't mean that God somehow owes us something. We can come to these seasons seeking an answer, or wanting to see a change in a situation, but still we may not receive the outcome we hoped for. This is the mystery. However, our decision to seek Him is never wasted.
So how should we approach prayer and fasting? We need to begin with a simple desire to grow deeper in relationship with God. Make this season about seeking to know God more, ask Holy Spirit to help lead you deeper and He will.
Our prayer for our church and everyone who joins us over these 40 days is the same as the apostle Paul's was for the Ephesian church (Ephesians 3:16-19). It's great to be on this journey with you and we look forward to hearing stories of what God does in this time.

AND HOW DO I FAST?
Fasting enables us to eliminate distractions for a spiritual purpose, hitting the reset button on our soul in order to draw nearer to God. It prepares our hearts for the good things that we believe God desires to bring into our lives.
Whatever you fast from, you then replace with time with God!
Seek God in prayer and follow the Holy Spirit as you decide what kind of fast is right for you. Below are a few different types of fasts that you may consider.
Please remember that every person is different, and you should only choose what is a healthy and safe choice for you. Speak to your heath practitioner if you need advice.
